The new proposed university building in Borlänge is sited along the main entry into the town. Given this prominent location it has two important facades: one that faces a main street and the other that faces the town park. The concept was to have each facade respond to its specific context, so the park is slightly more whimsical, while the street has an imposing temple porch, as following the tradition of many university buildings. I was inspired by Stockholm after having spent a few days there. Since it is a main public building, it has higher style classical elements than others in the town, to give it a civic appearance.
